Library Anywhere app has a new feature

If you’ve ever used our  Library Anywhere app on your mobile phone to search the library catalogue, renew items, place holds etc, you’ll know how useful it is to be able to do all of this and more on the go.
(If you haven’t,take a look at our previous post on this).
Well the clever folks who bring us this technology have added another useful feature.
You can now scan the ISBN barcode on a book that you find in a book shop, at a friend’s place or anywhere for that matter and Library Anywhere will check to see if our library has a copy. If we do, you can see its status and perhaps put a hold on it. If not you can search other Library Anywhere libraries nearby or online bookstores.
Check out the video to see how it works.

Library access anywhere, anytime on your mobile!

You can now access your library card, renew items, search the library catalogue, request items and check our opening hours, website and blog from your mobile device with the free Library Anywhere app.
All the enhanced features available on our catalogue such as integrated tags, recommendations, information about other editions and access to over 500,000 reviews to help find your next great read, can also be viewed on your phone.
