Our promotion to collect the mobile numbers and email addresses of patrons was a huge success, with 545 entries submitted. This should go a long way to reducing the amount of paper letters posted each day!
Congratulations to Tahnee, who was the lucky winner of the iPod Nano pack. Tahnee is a frequent user of the Library, who enjoyes receiving sms’ from us and thought winning an iPod was ‘very cool’, as did her dad! Dad also joined the Library the day Tahnee entered the competition.
Tahnee with her prize
Thank you to all those who gave us their details and entered the competition.
There’s only a couple of days left to get your entry in to win an iPod Nano! In order to reduce the amount of paper used for library notices, we are asking you to provide us with either your email address or mobile phone number. This way you’ll receive your hold notifications much quicker and help us at the City of Tea Tree Gully to be ‘naturally better.’ As an added bonus, if you select SMS you will also get a friendly reminder a day before your items are due, which will help you avoid any late fees!
The competition ends this Saturday, so come in and change your contact details to enter the draw!
The Library is going green by trying to reduce the amout of paper we use sending out letters by snail mail and you can help us!
Currently we send out lots of paper notices especially for hold notifications and you may not know that as an alternative the Library can send these notices either via SMS or by email (which incidentally is a lot faster than letters, so you will know about your item on hold much sooner!).
We are asking you to provide us with either your email address or mobile phone number. As an added bonus, if you select SMS you will also get a friendly reminder a day before your items are due, which will help you avoid any late fees!
To encourage you, from the 14th of October to the 14th of November we are running a competition to win an iPod Nano and accessories pack! All you need to do is fill out the form available at the customer service desk in the Library with your mobile or email details and you will go in the draw. The prize will be drawn on Monday the 16th of November at 10am and the winner will be notified by phone and the results will be published in the Off the Shelf newsletter and on the blog.
