The Christmas season will kick off this weekend with the Westfield Tea Tree Plaza Christmas Festival. The festivities start at 10am on Saturday 3 November with the ever-popular Community Christmas Parade. Grab a good spot on Tolley or Smart Roads, or see the parade where it ends at the Plaza’s rooftop car park.
There’s lots of other fun activities for the kids too – click here to see the program. Maybe you can drop in to the Library for a visit afterwards to pick up some festive picture books!
For all the Baby Boomers out there, take a trip down memory lane as you watch this footage of the John Martin’s Christmas pageant taken in 1955 by Ron Axer, courtesy of the State Library’s YouTube channel.
Things have certainly changed since then!
