Photo-frame Workshop

Creative designs in the making!

As part of our April School Holiday Program, the Library ran a photo-frame workshop. The children decorated 2 photo-frames with paint and a variety of collage materials such as beads, coloured pasta and mosaic tiles. The session was great fun and the children produced beautiful and original photo-frames to take home with them.

Embroidery workshop

During the recent school holidays the Embroiderers’ Guild of South Australia held a free workshop in the library for children aged 8 years and over. The guild members patiently and expertly taught their skills to the young participants, many of whom were doing embroidery for the first time.
All participants produced a small bag using a variety of materials, decorations and embroidery techniques. The results were lovely and the children were very proud of their finished bags. A big thank you to the Embroiderers’ Guild for the time and effort they put into making this such a successful workshop.
