Learn how to use the new Library Catalogue

Now that we’ve been on the One Card network for a couple of weeks it’s time to show you what you can use it for!

We are holding a few ‘come and try’ sessions about our brand new Library Catalogue, which you can access in the Library and from home. Come along and learn how to place holds, create lists and search for your favourite titles.

These sessions will be held next week, on Wednesday 11 and Friday 13 July from 10:30 to 11:00am. Call the Library on 8397 7333 to book now.

  1. Will there be any sessions on weekends in the future for patrons who work full time? Thanks Hayley

  2. Hi Hayley,
We haven’t planned any for weekends but we’ll take on board your feedback and try to include some sessions, perhaps in the evenings, as part of the Internet Training program later in the year.
In the meantime if you’re using the catalogue and need some assistance, there is a link to Help in the top right hand corner of the page. Just click on the question mark. You can always ask staff when you’re in the Library too!

  3. I have found the new catalogue easy to navigate Hayley, try it out for yourself, you may be able to teach yourself and not need the training.

Are Ebooks available now? If not when do you expect to include them if at all?

  4. Hi Monique,
Thanks for commenting. No ebooks available yet. Public libraries are looking into how to make manage ebooks in libraries but there is no firm implementation date yet. We’ll let you know here when we have some news.
