The Library is hosting the national exhibition, Materials Futures, from tomorrow afternoon until Thursday September 22. This travelling exhibition is brought to you by The Royal Australian Chemical Institute and sponsored by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research – Questacon.

This exhibition features materials of the future; carbon fibre, lightweight steels, optic fibre and greener concrete, materials that are safer, more efficient and friendlier to the environment. There is more to materials than look and feel. It takes many, and often special, properties to suit particular uses.

Come in and check out what chemistry developments occurring today, that you may be using in the future. There will also be a guestbook to sign!
