Summer’s over for another year

Clarisse Wong with Mayor Miriam Smith

Congratulations to seven year old Clarisse Wong, winner of the Summer Reading Club Program at the City of Tea Tree Gully Library.  The Summer Reading Club is an Australia wide initiative to encourage reading over the December/January school holidays.  Young people were challenged to read ten or more books.  This Summer’s theme  was ‘On the Wild Side’.

Clarisse was one of 66 enthusiastic readers.  She won an afternoon tea with the Mayor, Miriam Smith.  All participants have been entered into the State wide prize draw for prizes including book vouchers and an IPod.  They were also invited to a fabulous Wild West party at the Library!
