School holidays are coming!

It’s holiday time again and we have summer as well as Christmas to look forward to. From Wildlife Workshops to Venetian masks and madcap monsters to the Wild Wild West, there’s sure to be something for everyone at the Library these school holidays.

Young ones can come along to our Christmas Storytime sessions from the 14 December and make their own tree decoration to take home. Wednesday 16 December is our special Christmas-themed day, with an assortment of events and self-guided crafts to keep the kids entertained. We also invite you to enjoy our Living Book performance of “Emily and the Big Bad Bunyip” on Thursday 17 December, where a variety of Aussie songs and Christmas carols will be brought to life by our performers.

The theme this year for the Summer Reading Club is Read on the Wild Side, and we certainly have a WILD range of events on for all ages. Make a wild monster from a simple sock at our workshop on Wednesday 6 January, or meet the natives at Animals from the Bush on Wednesday 13 January, with Aussie animal events for everyone to enjoy.

The “Wild Wild West” finale for the Summer Reading Club will be held at the Library on Wednesday 20 January. It’s for the whole family and there are lots of special prizes to be won, so pick up your entry form today and start reading!

As always, there are fun activity trails ready to collect from the pillar near the Information Desk. Complete the trail by finding the clues in the Library, and receive a prize when you’re finished.

All details for these events and more are in the School Holiday program brochure which you can collect from the Library or go to the School Holiday Program page on the website .
All events are free but some require bookings with a membership barcode. Call the Library on 8397 7333 to make your booking.
See you there!
