Sharon Kernot, co-founder of the North Eastern Writers Inc is coming to the library on December 9th to launch her new book ‘In the Shadows of the Garden’. Sharon writes about poverty, addiction and difficult relationships. Her stories revolve around suburban streets; they dip into the local shopping mall, the welfare office, community centre and the neighbour’s house. There is much darkness is these pages but there is also light, laughter and hope. Cheese and wines will be supplied and you’ll be able to purchase a copy of Sharon’s book at the launch.
