The Library is going green by trying to reduce the amout of paper we use sending out letters by snail mail and you can help us! 

Currently we send out lots of paper notices especially for hold notifications and you may not know that as an alternative the Library can send these notices either via SMS or by email (which incidentally is a lot faster than letters, so you will know about your item on hold much sooner!).

We are asking you to provide us with either your email address or mobile phone number.  As an added bonus, if you select SMS you will also get a friendly reminder a day before your items are due, which will help you avoid any late fees! 

To encourage you, from the 14th of October to the 14th of November we are running a competition to win an iPod Nano and accessories pack!  All you need to do is fill out the form available at the customer service desk in the Library with your mobile or email details and you will go in the draw.  The prize will be drawn on Monday the 16th of November at 10am and the winner will be notified by phone and the results will be published in the Off the Shelf newsletter and on the blog.
