On Monday the 17th of August, the Library joined in the second annual RSPCA Cupcake Day to help raise money for all creatures great and small.
Enthusiastic staff members baked over 200 cakes, inspired by their pets, which were enjoyed with a cuppa by Library patrons and staff alike.
A special treat was the visit from Jasmin, Daphne and Calvin, three soon to graduate guide dogs which, along with their trainers, charmed children and adults alike.
In all, over $500 was raised for the RSPCA and a fun day was had by all. One staffer admitted the donation wasn’t for the cakes.
It was just to pat the dogs!
I love that the Tea Tree Gully Library has been involved in something that touches our hearts …
we hope to see more of this community spirit in the future.
Great way to promote the work done in the community by the RSPCA. The cupcakes also look fantastic – what a great job by the staff!
