Literary world mourns the passing of Michael Crichton

Best known for his science fiction and thriller novels that spanned five decades, Michael Crichton passed away on November 5th (Australian time) after battling cancer.  Crichton’s works often depicted the arrogance of humanity’s imagined control of science and nature and the worst case scenario consquences when this control is compromised.

His works were often made into films, including The Andromeda Strain, Congo, Sphere, Disclosure, Rising Sun and of course Jurassic Park and its sequels.

For thriller and science fiction fans, the library has a large range of Crichton’s work available for loan.
